Drawing from films: Margin Call (2011)

Yesterday at the studio we watched the film Margin Call. So a great oppurtunity to do the 'drawing from films' exercise. Because I couldn't pause the film, we watched it with the whole studio crew, what I tried to do was look out for interesting compositions in the film, analyse and make a quick visual snapshot of the composition, and then put down a quick thumbnail of the composition.
Here's what I ended up with:

The Easter Bunny revisited

Today at the studio I got a little pre critique from my colleague and 'Mentos' aka 'Mr Freshness' aka Jeremy Bungert himself.
He gave me some great pointers on how to push the image further, and I couldn't resist to try to work with his critique in mind a little more on the painting this evening.
This is what my revisited attempt looked like when I closed photoshop...
Thanks Bungert!

The Easter Bunny

This is the painting I did for my final assignment and lesson of Andrew Hou's digital painting in photoshop workshop at schoolism.com.
It's an image I did for inspiration for a little story I'm working on about the Easter Bunny.

Drawing from films: the Incredibles

Here's some progress of taking a closer look at the awesome film the Incredibles...

Drawing from films cont'd

Yesterday at the studio we watched the documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi. I decided to do some sketching while watching the docu, which is a nice portrait of a man and his passion for sushi.
